The 2007 Edition Home NetworkΒΆ
The 2007 edition of the home network is a small extension to the 2003 edition. I put this in because I just got rid of one of the computers in the old picture.
The 2003 edition of the home network is greatly simplified from the previous versions, shown below.
- No more Localtalk network for old Mac Plus machines and the NEC printer.
- No more XRouter front-end. The Airport is a router for both wireless and wired networks; all but one of the computers are wireless.
The following map shows the state of the home network at it’s peak of complexity in 2000.
This is the goofy little wooden shelf with cable modem, router and airport.
